Jirandeh 50 MW Power Plant

Tavan-Nirooye-Arad is a Special Vehicle Company (SPC) for renewable energy power plants was bought by Parhoon Tarh which is a general contractor and investor in major industrial and infrastructural projects in Iran. ParhoonTarh main works are aimed in energy and water systems and is also exporting Engineering and Technical services abroad in several countries. Beginning 2014, the management board decided to enter new markets and therefore as a result of forming a business development section, related responsibilities were assigned to business development department. To start with a unique opportunity within the country in the field of renewable energy, Tavan Nirooye Arad as the SPC has achieved to obtain licenses for three wind farms development in the selected high windy locations with total capacity of 200 MW. According to Parhoon Tarh’s strategic objectives and based on an initial concept, we performed a thorough market research and a complete feasibility study was prepared in order to start investing in these projects. Currently, we plan for shortlisting the proper Generator Manufacturers and also looking for a qualified EPC contractor along with working on financing programs. Our primary focus is to implement the first phase of 50 MW in Jirandeh region70 Km inland south of the Caspian Sea coastline.

Kuhin wind power plant

Kuhin 2 x 25 MW Wind Farm

In line with the strategy of Parhoon Tarh holding group regarding renewable energy plants, the business development segment of the company suggested to establish another subordinate for this purpose. Hence, Saba Energy Parhoon (SEP) company was established in September 2017 in order to implement a wind powerplant in one of the great windy areas 190 kilometers away from the capital city of Tehran. The SEP has acquired all licenses for developing an economical wind project in Kuhin region which is also considered a less affluent provincial district. According to business development officer’s efforts along with provision of senior managers, market and technical studies carried out and a bankable project has been filed for receiving support of National Development Fund. Kuhin wind farm with a nominal capacity of 25 MW in the first phase, comprising 8 or 9 advanced wind turbines, is located within 30 km west of the Qazvin city. The following steps have been successfully taken so far:

• Business Model Formation • Identifying Key partners • Environmental and Social Impact Analysis • Technical and Financial Report • Land ownership • Legal survey, inquiry and licensure • Consultation agreements • Anemometer Met mast installation • Request for quotation & negotiation We will hopefully conclude Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) by the end of year 2019 with SATBA through incentive Feed-In Tariffs defined for 20 years. Shah Wa Arous Dam

The main constraint on developing sustainable large scale agriculture in Afghanistan is inadequate water resource, although total water availability is substantial annually. Therefore, development and regulation of the rivers & streams are necessary in order to facilitate water supply throughout the year, mitigate flood damages, generate hydro-power, domestic supply, etc. Shah-Wa-Arus multipurpose Project is one of the suitable projects based on performed prefeasibility & feasibility studies.
