Yazd Solar Thermal
Thanks to many sun-rich areas in Iran, there is high capacity of using solar energy. Yazd integrated solar combined cycle power station is a hybrid power station situated near Yazd, Iran which became operational in 2009. It is the world’s first combined cycle power plant using solar power and natural gas. This plant has capacity of 467 MW and uses solar energy in order to augment its steam generation by concentrating solar power technology.
